The modern classic Wassily Chair, also known as the Model B3 chair, 
was designed by Marcel Breuer for the constructivist painter Wassily Kandinsky. 
Both of them were working at the Bauhaus School in Dessau at the time (1925). 
This chair was revolutionary in the use of the materials (bent steel tubes and leather) and methods of 

manufacturing. It is said that Breuer's 'Adler' bicycle inspired him to use steel tubes to build the chair.
