Prolific Danish designer Hans J. Wegner thought of this valet chair as a way to maximize clothes-folding efficiency at bedtime.
The resulting piece has a coat hanger back and features a seat that lifts to support more clothes and reveal a secret storage space.
Disatisfied with the heavy appearance of the original design, Wegner removed one of the legs for the finished valvet chair, out in 1953.
